scope:
PURPOSE. The purpose of this document is to establish a comprehensive calibration and metrology program which provides for the management of standards; inspection, measurement, and test equipment; and test software in a controlled process. This procedure is to define the method and responsibilities for the control of Inspection, Measuring, and Test Equipment (IM&TE) at Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) to meet the requirements of MPD 1280.1, "Marshall Management Manual."
APPLICABILITY. This Directive is applicable to all Center organizations and to all onsite contractors performing work under the MSFC Quality System or this Directive.
