This Standard covers the requirements for aluminum electrolytic capacitors, non-polarized, sealed in plastic or aluminum cases, which are for the intermittent service starting single phase alternating current induction motors. The capacitors are rated for service in 50Hz and 60Hz circuits and may be operated in ambient temperatures shown in paragraph 3.4.
