scope:
This specification covers the requirements and tests for equipment intended to monitor the noise produced by pumps.
Pump noise monitors covered by this specification shall be of the following types, as specified (see 6.2):
a. Type I. Type I equipment shall consist of one control-monitor (see 3.5) and six type I transducers (see 3.4) complete with transducer mounting hardware (see 3.4.7) and mating cable connectors (see 3.4.6).
b. Type II. Type II equipment shall consist of one control-monitor (see 3.5), six type II transducers (see 3.4) complete with transducer mounting hardware (See 3.4.7) and mating cable connectors (see 3.4.6).
c. Type III. Type III equipment shall consist of one control-monitor (see 3.5), four type III transducers (see 3.4) complete with transducer mounting hardware (see 3.4.7) and mating cable connectors (see 3.4.6).
