PREFACE

The standards set forth herein apply to the eighth edition of the Standard for Gas Water Heaters, Volume III, Circulating Tank, Instantaneous and Large Automatic Storage Water Heaters, ANSI 221.10.3-1984, and Addenda thereto, Z21.10.3a-1985, and supersede corresponding standards therein. With this addenda, the standard has been retitled American National Standard For Gas Water Heaters, Volume III, Storage, With Input Ratings Above 75,000 Btu Per Hour, Circulating and Instantaneous Water Heaters. Following their preparation by the supervising subcommittee, they were accepted by Accredited Standards Committee 221 and subsequently approved as American National Standard by the American National Standards Institute, Inc.
