This specification establishes the FAA's procurement parameters for the purchase of commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) and non-developmental items (NDI) for Diesel Engine Generators Sets, 10 kW through 750 kW. Each engine generator set (EGS) shall consist of a diesel engine coupled to an alternator with associated power equipment, controls, and auxiliaries to provide a complete assembly for supplying secondary electric power source for the duration of any failure of the normal power supply.
