scope:

This guideline is intended to give users guidance in applying existing technical rules within the building services across all trades when planning, implementing and monitoring fire protection concepts.

The functions of the various building services systems are described together with their interactions, allowing to identify which measure, or combination of measures, in the scope of a fire protection concept enables specific protection goals to be fulfilled effectively during the given stages of a fire.

For the protection goals to be fulfilled, the installations/ systems/measures described in this guideline shall be designed to suit each other and the building within the respective fire protection concept, and shall be agreed with the competent authorities.
