The SSI Applications Manual covers the design and installation of SSI onto Network Rail's signalling infrastructure. It lists all approved documents relevant to SSI.

The manual defines the generic hardware and software configurations of the system that permits signalling designers to comply with the relevant signalling principles.

The applications manual defines the data design process and enables it to comply with the requirements of BS EN 50128.
