Paint Thickness Standards

Application This procedure details recommended practices and equipment for measurement of thickness of paint films on metallic substrates.

The material defined by this specification is a vinyl based, heat curing sealer which can be airless sprayed to a 0.25 - 0.40 mm film on electrocoated substrates, to provide a paintable corrosion resistant film which will withstand stone chipping.
