This Defence Standard specifies requirements for a high flashpoint, low aromatic type hydrocarbon solvent for use where chlorinated solvents are unacceptable. The solvent is suitable for the cleaning of electrical equipment in conventional and nuclear submarines, general use on aerospace equipment and in confiied areas where fire or health hazards are to be minimized.
