MODUK - DEF STAN 80-24

Lacquer, Acrylic Grade 1 - Type QX Compatible Grade 2 - Non-QX

inactive, Most Current
Organization: MODUK
Publication Date: 28 September 2001
Status: inactive
Page Count: 14
scope:

This standard specifies the requirements for two grades of an inhibited transparent acrylic lacquer suitable for the protection of copper and copper alloys.

The designation 'Type QX' for Grade 1 indicates that the material is of a quality likely to be suitable for application where a high degree of compatibility with explosives is a requirement. However, its compatibility with all explosives in all environments has not been established and designers should verify its suitability for particular applications. Designers should also consider the possibility that the explosive may have an adverse effect on the material
