scope:
The following structure and calculation rules apply to vertical, cylindrical, factory-fabricated thermoplastic tanks with supporting frame and conical or sloping base for installation in an earthquake zone within Germany. The following prerequisites must be satisfi ed when using this supplement:
• The tank may be installed indoors or outdoors. Its foundation must be in direct contact with the ground. In the case of installation on the ceilings of buildings, platforms or similar, separate analyses are required that take the oscillation properties of the whole system into account.
• Dimensioning of the tank is carried out in parallel according to Guideline DVS 2205-2 with Supplements 3 and 7 / 9.
• The design of the tank corresponds to Guideline DVS 2205-2 with Supplements 3 and 7 / 9.
