scope:
The following structure and calculation rules apply to upright, cylindrical, factory-fabricated thermoplastic containers with supporting frame and sloping base supported by parallel stiff eners. Cylinder and frame can either be manufactured from panels or by using a winding process.
The following prerequisites must be satisfi ed when using this supplement:
• The stiff eners are arranged parallel to the direction of inclination of the sloping base (trapezoidal stiff eners).
• An opening is provided in the sloping base - with an elbow fed through the frame - for the removal of residue. The middle stiff ener must bypass the opening on both sides by using a transverse stiff ener. The opening in the frame is reinforced using a pipe coupling with a minimum length of dA/2, which is elded at both ends with the same overlap. If both alternating stiff eners are welded to the frame, the pipe coupling does not need to be used.
• Shut-off valves or other valves must be arranged outside the frame; there is no access to the space below the sloping base.
• The calculations are for a container with a sloping base without a collecting vessel
