Purpose

b) restore operations following a disruption in accordance with the working timetable, taking into account:

1. the interests of safety and security;

2. the needs of passengers and freight customers;

In order to meet these requirements the Railway Operational Code directs Network Rail to provide industry guidance on the management of operational disruptions resulting from weather hazards.
