Scope and field of application
This International Standard specifies requirements for two types of thermoplastics hoses with textile reinforcement, the design working pressure ranges for which are indicated in table 2. The hoses are suitable for use with petroleum-, waterand synthetic-based hydraulic fluids within a temperature range of - 40 °c to + 100 °c. Operating temperatures in excess of + 100 °c may materially reduce the life of the hose.
This International Standard does not include requirements for end fittings. It is limited to the performance of hoses and hose assemblies.
Annex e gives dimensional details of widely used hoses. These are for information only and do not form part of the specification.
