Diese Norm legt Toleranzen für den Gewindeteil von Gewindebohrern mit geschliffenem Profil, über 2,8 mm Gewindedurchmesser und Steigung ≥ 0,5 mm, die zur Herstellung von Metrischem ISO-Innengewinde mit Toleranzfeld 7G und 8G bestimmt sind fest. Außerdem legt diese Norm die Anwendung von Sondertoleranzen, welche für speziell zu bearbeitende Werkstoffe und besondere Bearbeitungsfälle gelten, fest.
