This procedure applies to the managers of the following groups of operational employees:

PURPOSE

This procedure outlines the process for visiting operational employees with the aim of confirming that:

a) they have regular contact with their manager;

b) they are seen in the operational location in which they work to confirm that they are operating in a competent manner

c) the location and equipment is in good working order; and

d) there is an opportunity for the employee and line manager to discuss any safety matters arising.

The visit to operational employees is an opportunity for the line manager to collect evidence of competence.
