The scope of this standard is the management of insulation degradation in signalling wires and cables of all types, including trackside multi-core cables.

Purpose

The purpose of this document is to specify methods of managing the degradation of insulation in signalling wires and cables.

This Engineering standard shall be applied by the Signal &Telecoms Maintenance Engineer at all signalling sites in their care.
