scope:
This specification applies in all circumstances when it is necessary for Network Rail or a contractor or sub-contractor to Network Rail to issue a Visitor Permit in accordance with the provisions of GE/RT8067.
Compliance with this specification is not required:- ·
• where outside parties have a statutory right of access to Network Rail infrastructure, or ·
• following an accident, incident or failure of equipment, when separate arrangements are made for the safety of visitors to the site.
Purpose
To set out arrangements for the issue and control of Visitor Permits issued in accordance with Railway Group Standard GE/RT8067 to people without Personal Track Safety (PTS) certification.
