scope:

This standard pertains primarily to cast and forged steel flanges and flanged fittings; but the, flange dimensions, bolting, minimum wall thicknesses and certain other requirements herein specified for fittings apply also to cast and forged steel flanged end and butt-welding end valves of corresponding primary service pressure rating and size.
