scope:

a. This instruction affects all TEAM non-tactical IT resources throughout their entire life cycle. The term "life cycle" refers to development/acquisition, production, implementation, operation, maintenance and disposal of IT resources as performed by any TEAM organization, site or user. Specific scope is as follows;

(1) All IT resources operated on the Naval Aviation Systems Team Wide Area Network and on any TEAM local area networks.

(2) All data created and maintained on IS databases to be shared by more than one TEAM member.

(3) All TEAM databases and TEAM management ISs including all corporate, business unit, competency and team systems.

(4) All IM related projects performed with or without the support of the IM (7.2) competency.

b. All IM acquisition development and operations efforts, whether performed by 7.2 or other parts of the TEAM, shall comply with these policies. This instruction shall be cited in all future procurement actions that include IT or IM services.

c. Enclosure (1) is the repository for approved IM policies and guidelines affecting IM acquisitions, development and operation TEAM-wide.
