This specification relates to the general requirements for capacitors. fixed d.c. rated, (excluding eleotrolytic types). It is to be used in conjunction with the Detail Specifications, enumerated in Clause 2(b) below, which give details of dimensions, ratings values and other requirements peculiar to specific ranges of standards. It is primarily intended for components for use in Service equipment but users of components for other purposes are invited to adopt it.
