This Standard describes testing procedures and states the performance requirements for incandescent reflector lamps designed for general lighting use.
This Standard includes performance requirements for
(a) wattage;
(b) lamp efficacy;
(c) centre beam intensity; and
(d) rated life.
This Standard applies to incandescent reflector lamps having
(a) rated wattage from 40 W up to and including 205 W;
(b) rated voltage between 110 V and 130 V;
(c) an E26, or E26 skirted, medium screwbase; and
(d) a diameter of 70 mm or larger.
This Standard does not apply to
(a) coloured lamps;
(b) heat lamps;
(c) lamps used in mines, or in airfield, aircraft, automotive, or marine applications;
(d) lamps with an ER or BR bulb shape; or
(e) bowl mirror lamps (silverbowl).
