FOREWORD
The development of requirements for gas-fired construction heaters has been considered a useful contribution which industry has made in order to standardize basic safety requirements for this type of equipment, while leaving ample scope for ingenuity of design.
The utilization of gas-fired equipment in this application is favoured by industry because of its cleanliness and ease of heat control. General usage shall conform to the applicable sections of the Installation Codes for Natural Gas and Propane Burning Appliances and Equipment, CGA B149.1 and B149.2 respectively.
From time to time it will be found necessary to review this standard and individual items for compatability with new developments in industry. Any points brought up which require a change in the requirements will be referred to the Committee who will make the formal recommendations will then be submitted to the Interprovincial Gas Advisory Council for formal acceptance.
