This specification is written to comply with engineering standard S1202 in defining the requirements for the overhaul of all variants of the GE air valve which are used extensively in the signalling system on the LU.
Purpose
This specification has been written to detail the overhaul requirements of Glass Enclosed (GE) air valves which are used in the signalling system on the London Underground (LU). These items are more commonly referred to as GE Valves; a term will be used throughout this document.
