This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the carbon steel tubes (hereafter referred to as tubes) used for manufacturing cylinder barrels of piston-type pneumatic or hydraulic cylinders by machining or honing the inner surfaces. This Standard generally covers the tubes in the range of 32.0 mm to 200.0 mm in inside diameter.
In addition to the items specified in the main body, the items of supplementary quality requirements which the purchaser can specify upon the agreement with the manufacturer are shown in Annex A.
