scope:

This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies requirements for steel pails (hereafter referred to as pails) of 18 L to 20 L in nominal capacity used for containers for the transport and storage of dangerous objects of liquid and solid state, and of undangerous objects.

NOTE 1 The dangerous object used in this Standard indicates those which are subjected to the following laws.

- Ship Safety Act (Act No. 11 of 1933)

- Fire Service Act (Act No. 186 of 1948)

- Poisonous and Deleterious Substances Control Act (Act No. 303 of 1950)

- Civil Aeronautics Act (Act No. 231 of 1952)
