This standard shall apply to the entire operational TfL estate once the appropriate approvals have been obtained: London Underground (LU), Docklands Light Railway (DLR), London Overground (LO), Victoria Coach Station (VCS), Elizabeth Line, London Buses, London Trams, London River Service, Woolwich Ferry, Cable Car and Dial-a-Ride.

This standard shall apply to TfL staff undertaking step-free access project work, minor/corrective works and maintenance on the TfL estate.

This standard shall also apply to designers, contractors, suppliers and maintainers undertaking work within TfL owned, managed or occupied operational premises.

Purpose

The purpose of this pan-TfL Step-free Access Signage Standard is to define the design and installation requirements of step-free access signage schemes across the TfL network.
